Communications & Public Relations Department

The Ponca City Schools Communications and Public Relations Department is an arm of the Superintendent's Office and works in accordance with board policy to keep the citizens of the district informed through all available channels of communication. Our office provides the public with timely information and articles that cover the latest happenings in the district.

The goal is to build and maintain positive relationships that will benefit students, teachers and community members and to stimulate a better understanding of the objectives, accomplishments and needs of our schools and students.

PCPS is a member of the Oklahoma School Public Relations Association and the National School Public Relations Association. The Media/Communications Department has earned more than a dozen OKSPRA Communication & Publication Awards. 

Media
The Office of Communications and Public Relations releases news items about the Ponca City School District to the community utilizing several media outlets. Our office is available to serve all news media interested in covering the school district. We provide news releases, tip sheets, and information of all kinds. Members of the media who are interested in learning more about PCPS or have questions about education-related stories are asked to contact our office. If you would like to arrange an interview with a student or employee, please make your request through Mary Ladd, Department Coordinator.
